Italy DSU Scholarship Guide

Covers bachelor's and master's applicants from India.

DSU is one of the main reasons Italy is so affordable. It can cover accommodation, food, tuition waivers and a yearly allowance. But the catch is simple: the documentation needs to be 100% correct.

Who is eligible?

Eligibility mainly depends on your family income, assets, and your admission status. The university and DSU office check whether your income certificates truly reflect your family's financial situation.

Core documents you'll need

  • Family Income Certificate (translated & apostilled)
  • Property / No-property certificate
  • Family composition certificate
  • University admission letter or pre-enrolment

Where students usually go wrong

Most rejections are not because of low income, but because:

  • Certificates are not translated by an accepted authority.
  • Missing apostille on one of the documents.
  • Incorrect valuation or missing property details.
  • Wrong year of income shown on the certificate.

Fixing these issues early is much easier than appealing after a rejection. A quick review of your draft documents can save an entire intake.
